Revelation 19:1-16

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Refrain
Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
PRAYER
Tonight our lesson finally has a glad and joyful tone. Let’s talk about the Bridegroom the wedding feast and our purity.
Click through lecture to Slide 4 auto timing takes over until end of song.
We HAVE SILENT PRAYER THEN and start clicking on SLIDE 19 PAGE 4
SLIDE 1 Our Bridegroom is Jesus Christ, who loved us and cleansed us and died for us.
Isaiah 54: 5   For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is his name;and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.
Isaiah 62:5b …as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love;”
As Paul counseled the Ephesians in duty and marriage, he told husbands to nurture and cherish their wives, just as Christ does the church5:29b.
John 3:16 KJV“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Ladies, just think He redeemed you, He rejoices over you, He loves you with an everlasting love, He cherishes you.
Click How much does love you? Held out his arms and Jesus died for you.
Are you ready to become His Bride?
SLIDE 2 How can we prepare for the wedding?
Ephesians 5:25b-27  Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, So that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Ladies I don’t know about you but I cannot do any of that by myself. When I was married, I tried to change myself for my husband. That was not a success. But praise God the Lord is my husband and my lover and he changed me!
Let us pray.

SLIDE 7 5 And from the throne came a voice saying,
"Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great."
SLIDE 8 6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
SLIDE 9          "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
The kingdom of this world
Is become the kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ, and of His Christ;
And He shall reign for ever and ever,
For ever and ever, forever and ever,
SLIDE 10 7-Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
SLIDE 11 7-8 and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure"---for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
SLIDE 12  9-“Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God."

SLIDE 19  v.10 John was so excited and awed by the display in heaven, that he bowed before the angel but he said to me, "You must not do that! Worship God."
Likewise sisters we need to guard our hearts and minds so we do not lift up a disciple of Christ or television evangelist or even our own pastors. They are mere mortal and totally fallible as we have come to realize. Study the scriptures to find the Truth.
Now we are changing from the wonderful beauty of Christ Receiving His Bride to the Warrior King preparing for battle.
SLIDE 20 Warren Wiersbe titles his commentary for Revelation BE Victorious. Ladies tonight we see Jesus coming on his white horse, not a counterfeit like the four Horsemen but our soon coming King victorious and mighty and powerful. On Palm Sunday and Jerusalem Jesus entered riding on a donkey with symbolized humility. Now he returns to be victorious over all nations and world systems.
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems,( to rule all the nations) and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
Ladies he is not gathering His people home. Now he will return with his people as a conquering hero.
A sharp sword from His mouth is the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
SLIDE 21  13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
This artist displays the Rider on the White Horse with his robe dipped in blood only a few inches. But from the previous scriptures on Armageddon it would cover his robe.
SLIDE 22 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Pat Malvenko Smith does a good depiction of our Warrior King.
NY TIMES 4-4-2004 In an article about the search for answers in Biblical Prophecy:
For his part, Mr. Jenkins, (co-author with Tim LaHaye in the Left Behind series) acknowledged that the ''tough love'' Jesus might not please everyone. ''Some people might say, 'We like thinking that Jesus is the man who spoke in paradoxes and beatitudes,' and they might not want to find out that he is also the one who is going to judge at the end of the world,'' he said, adding: ''But, of course, that is the way it is in the Bible.''
SLIDE 23 Isaiah 63:2-4
·        Why is your apparel red,
·        and your garments like his who treads in the winepress?
·        "I have trodden the winepress alone,
·        and from the peoples no one was with me;
·        I trod them in my anger
·        and trampled them in my wrath;
·        their lifeblood spattered on my garments,
·        and stained all my apparel.
·        For the day of vengeance was in my heart,
·        and my year of redemption had come.
The battle is coming be alert be prepared!
But I promise the best is yet to come.
SLIDE 24 Will you choose to be washed by the blood of the lamb?
Come to Jesus for the cleansing power of His blood. He will was you white as snow.

Pray
